放下你的玻璃杯子

一位讲师正在给他的学生讲授压力管理。
 
他举起一杯水,问听众:“你觉得这杯水有多重?”“
 
学生的回答从20克到500克。
 
“绝对重量无关紧要。”。这取决于你持有它的时间。如果我拿着它一分钟,就可以了。如果我坚持一个小时,我的右臂就会痛。如果我坚持一天,你就得叫救护车了。它是完全相同的重量,但我持有它越长,它变得越重。
 
“如果我们一直背负着沉重的负担,迟早我们将无法继续下去,负担越来越重。”。
 
“你要做的是放下杯子,休息一会儿,然后再拿起来。”
 
我们必须定期放下包袱,这样我们才能振作起来,能够继续下去。
 
所以今晚下班回家之前,要把工作的重担放下。不要把它带回家。你明天可以捡起来。
 
不管你现在肩上有什么负担,只要你能,就暂时放下。

Put the Glass Down

A lecturer was giving a lecture to his student on stress management.

He raised a glass of water and asked the audience, “How heavy do you think this glass of water is?”

The students’ answers ranged from 20g to 500g.

“It does not matter on the absolute weight. It depends on how long you hold it. If I hold it for a minute, it is OK. If I hold it for an hour,I will have an ache in my right arm. If I hold it for a day, you will have to call an ambulance. It is the exact same weight, but the longer I hold it, the heavier it becomes.

“If we carry our burdens all the time, sooner or later, we will not be able to carry on, the burden becoming increasingly heavier.

“What you have to do is to put the glass down, rest for a while before holding it up again.”

We have to put down the burden periodically,so that we can be refreshed and are able to carry on.

So before you return home from work tonight, put the burden of work down. Don’t carry it back home. You can pick it up tomorrow.

Whatever burdens you are having now on your shoulders, let it down for moment if you can.

Life is short, enjoy it!
